
A 25-year-old Georgia man, identified as Devin Lauderdale, has been taken into custody for his alleged involvement in a Nashville shooting that occurred on Feb. 7, as per reports from WKRN. The shooting in question injured a man in the hip and arm in the Berry Hill neighborhood on Hillview Heights, near the 12 South area. Lauderdale was apprehended in Atlanta and is facing charges for attempted criminal homicide.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Lauderdale was the passenger in a Hyundai Elantra that came up on the victim as he was returning home from his day's labor. The driver of the vehicle initially pursued the victim on foot and then discharged the firearm, causing non-critical injuries, before Lauderdale assumed driving responsibilities to escape the scene this has been detailed in information provided by both WSMV and FOX 17. As of now, Lauderdale's alleged accomplice, the one who fired the weapon, remains at large with the police continuing their search.
The MNPD has confirmed the ongoing nature of the investigation, highlighting that Lauderdale is merely one part of the puzzle they're piecing together. Although the victim suffered wounds to the hip and arm, his injuries were not fatal. Authorities are working diligently to unravel the details surrounding the incident and to track down the second suspect involved in the gunfire.
