Goodyear is gearing up to celebrate this year's Independence Day with a bang, and it's not shying away from giving residents a double dose of fun. The city is hosting its annual Star Spangled Fourth event on July 4, with festivities divided between the Goodyear Ballpark and the Goodyear Recreation Campus, according to recent information released by the city. Citizens looking to revel in the patriotic spirit can catch live music, enjoy various games, and chow down on food truck offerings at either location from 6 to 9 p.m., as detailed by the City of Goodyear
For those drawn to the charm of America's favorite pastime, the Goodyear Ballpark at 1933 S. Ballpark Way is the spot to hit. As reported on the city's official website, attendees can expect to find a Main Stage with live performances from an ensemble called Fighter Country Talent. Couple that with lawn games for those itching for some friendly competition, a craft zone ready to inspire creative minds, and a bubble zone for children (and let's face it, playful adults too) to delight in some soapy fun – and you've got an almost complete package. Let's not forget the assortment of concession stands and roaming food trucks aimed to tackle all hunger pangs.
If you're looking for more of an aqua adventure, head on to the Recreation Campus located at 420 S. Estrella Parkway. Here, the city promises a slew of both dry and wet inflatables for a refreshing twist to the party, per the same announcement. With a DJ on deck to set a lively tune, and – surprise, surprise – even more food trucks to keep the energy levels fueled, it guarantees to be a splash hit for families ready to beat the heat.
To cap off an evening of patriotic celebration, both sites will offer prime viewing for a fireworks show that's set to light up the sky at 8:45 p.m., according to the City of Goodyear.
