Looking ahead to Sunday’s forecast, Knoxville should prepare for a shift in conditions. Beginning with a slight possibility of showers in the early morning hours, the forecast suggests an increased chance of showers coupled with thunderstorms between 9 and 10 am. Following this window, rain and storms are likely to continue, "with a high near 81," and westward winds maintaining a pace of 5 to 10 mph. Knoxville could see rainfall totals ranging from a quarter to a half-inch," according to official predictions.
Sunday night’s outlook remains unsettled with a 30% chance of continued showers and storms before 2 am, then just a slight prospect of rain after. The low is forecast to be around 62 degrees, while northwest winds are expected to calm post-midnight. Into the early days of next week, weather patterns suggest a 20% chance of showers on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, with predominantly sunny skies and high temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s, providing a breather between the bouts of rain.
