Lynnhurst residents can look forward to neater sidewalks and greener lawns as June unfolds. Q3 Contracting, brought in by CenterPoint Energy, is busy patching up the aftermath of the gas works by Michels Corporation. They're on track to wrap this up by month's end, which will be a relief for anyone tired of the dusty construction aftermath.
Walkways are getting their due care, returning to their pre-dig state, while patches of earth are receiving a makeover with black dirt, seed, and eco-friendly netting. Yes, sidewalks may stop feeling like obstacle courses, and lawns, like barren wastelands. It's a wait-and-see game for now — the seed needs time to sprout beneath that biodegradable shield. And while you might trip over the odd utility flag poking out of the dirt, try to resist the urge to yank it out. They're markers for a job still in progress, and they need to stick around until the very end.
The intro to summer brings the promise of restoration – an urban renewal spearheaded by the familiar hum of machinery. According to a bulletin posted by CenterPoint Energy, the aftermath of natural gas work will soon be just a memory. Residents will witness the transition back to the familiar and even get a touch-up on some of nature's handiwork.
Questions? Curiosities? CenterPoint Energy is only an email or call away. You're encouraged to dig into the project’s details on their web page or get in touch with Communication Specialist Hannah Gullickson at [email protected] or 612-321-5546. Patience, as they say, is a virtue and CenterPoint seems to appreciate the community's. They're laying the groundwork, quite literally, for a more robust infrastructure and a prettier neighborhood.
