Authorities are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest related to an assault and battery case that occurred late last month on the MBTA. On May 31 at around 7:40 PM, at Park Street Station, a troubling incident unfolded where a male individual reportedly spat in the face of a woman. The altercation began after the man demanded that the woman give up her seat to him, an act that culminated in the reported assault.
The MBTA Transit Police disclosed the incident through their official X account, along with a call for assistance in identifying the man responsible. The post which provided a timestamp and details of the incident, stated, "ID Sought re: Assault & Battery investigation. 5/31 740PM #MBTA Park St. A male spat in the face of a female after demanding she move from a seat he wanted to sit in. Recognize this person of interest? Pls contact our CIU at 617-222-1050 w/any info you have.U can remain anonymous" The police have urged anyone with any information to reach out to their Criminal Investigations Unit.
