
Memphis has been rocked by a series of shootings, with the most recent incidents occurring back-to-back on a Tuesday night. The first event unfolded at approximately 10:40 p.m. on East E.H. Crump Boulevard in South Memphis, where a man was found with a gunshot wound. He was subsequently rushed to Regional One Hospital in critical condition, as reported by FOX13 Memphis. Mere minutes later, police responded to another shooting at 11:14 p.m. near Third Street and East Belle Haven Road where yet another man was also taken to Regional One Hospital, with critical injuries, according to Action News 5.
In the wake of these events, the Memphis Police Department is also continuing its investigation into a deadly shooting from April which claimed the lives of a man and woman and injured a young toddler, video and images of a suspect vehicle associated with this case, a white Jeep Laredo with distinctive damage to the back window, have been released in hopes of gathering more information, details furnished by Memphis Police Department. The vehicle was last seen escaping westbound on Crump Boulevard, according to police statements. The shootings in April occurred in close temporal and physical proximity to another fatal incident on Danny Thomas Boulevard, contributing to a distressing pattern of gun violence in the area.
