The National Weather Service has issued a warning for minor coastal flooding near the coastal and interior portions of Sonoma and Marin counties. The potential flooding could affect areas including Corte Madera Creek and San Quentin from 9 PM Saturday until 3 AM Sunday. According to the NWS Bay Area, parking lots, parks, and roads may be flooded. This Coastal Flood Warning is due to high tides anticipated around the North Bay shoreline.

A Dense Fog Advisory has also been issued for the Monterey Bay area until 9 AM today. The National Weather Service advises drivers to remain cautious, consider delaying travel, and use low-beam headlights. The advisory was put in place following observations of dense fog at Watsonville and Marina. Despite sightings at Salinas, the spatial extent wasn't large enough to warrant a wider advisory. This is part of an update from the Area Forecast Discussion from the National Weather Service in San Francisco.
The forecast discussion also notes that today and into the night, clear skies will prevail in the region, except for stratus developed around Monterey Bay. Cooler temperatures are expected in the interior, with temperatures forecast to drop throughout the week. The NWS states, "The main forecast issue continues to be the potential for elevated convection over the southern sections of Monterey and San Benito counties this afternoon and evening."
Regarding maritime concerns, strong northwest winds are expected over the northern outer waters through Monday, prompting the NWS to advise against small crafts in the area. Wave heights could reach up to 10 feet in the northern outer waters. Mariners are urged to stay updated on the conditions, which are predicted to slightly improve towards the middle of the work week.
