Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) is rolling out its Summer Adoption Nights event every Friday this month. The shelter doors will be open until 8:15 p.m., providing a nocturnal haven for potential pet adopters.
It’s not just your heart that these pets are hoping to snatch, but a place in your home. PACC, the safe haven for our four-legged pals, is grappling with an influx of 500 dogs and 128 cats residing in the shelter currently, and numerous others are weatherboting in foster care.
Adoption comes at the nifty price of free for dogs and puppies—though adult dogs come attached with a $20 licensing fee. All adopted pets at PACC come with a starter kit of a microchip, spaying or neutering, and up-to-date vaccinations. The announcement made by PACC also marks that different adoption specials will grace each event, and these will be declared on their Facebook and Instagram pages prior to the festivities.
Those who've been recently bitten by the pet-owner bug can visit PACC at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, and keep tabs on their new summer hours plus the smorgasbord of pets up for adoption. The center's doors swing wide open from noon to 7 p.m. on weekdays, except for Wednesdays which kick off at a leisurely 1:30 p.m., and if weekends work better for you, a visit between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. might just score you a new best friend. Feel free to dive deep into the world of PACC’s pets and services at their website, and perhaps, find the newest addition to your family tree.
