A suspect is now in custody after a diligent investigation led by Detective Lefterov of the Pittsburg Police Department. According to the Pittsburg Police Department, the series of vandalisms involved a pellet gun used to shatter the windows of local establishments, racking up thousands of dollars in damages.
In an attempt to quell the disruptions, one property owner installed surveillance cameras which eventually captured footage of the vandal at work. This crucial evidence accelerated the momentum of the investigation, led, by Detective Lefterov. "Through diligent work spanning several weeks," Lefterov compiled significant evidence pointing to the alleged perpetrator. During the investigation, multiple search warrants were executed; detectives recovered a BB gun, an air rifle, copper BBs, and substances believed to be illicit, as per the Pittsburg Police Department.
Business owners on Garcia Avenue have been on edge due to these acts of property damage, which disrupted their livelihood. With the footage obtained, law enforcement was able to identify and locate the individual believed to be responsible. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, now faces eight charges of felony vandalism.
