Authorities have apprehended 28-year-old Chase P. Grijalva of Portland following a series of shootings at city properties. Officers responded to a call on Monday around 1:14 p.m. after Grijalva, driving a dark-colored sedan, reportedly opened fire on a site near Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Northeast Oregon Street, then fled the scene, according to the Portland Police Bureau. Further incidents were reported along Southeast Stark Street at Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast 148th Avenue shortly thereafter.
Detectives investigating the case managed to locate the suspect's vehicle near Southeast 148th Avenue and Southeast Division Street. Grijalva was arrested without incident and is poised to face gun and vandalism charges, as per the Portland Police Bureau. His actions, which resulted in no reported injuries, prompted a swift response from local law enforcement.
