The response from SDFD was swift, confining the flames and preventing further spread throughout the home. "Fire confined to bedroom of origin by firefighters. Fire is out. No one else inside," the department's update revealed. With the resident evaluated on-site and found not to require further treatment, not being transported to the hospital marks a small mercy in what could have been a dire scenario.
