A juvenile male was fatally stabbed during an altercation on Wanek Road in Escondido, police said. The Escondido Police Department reported officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 7:54 PM on Monday, where they found the young victim with a stab wound. Despite the efforts of Escondido Fire Paramedics, the boy was later pronounced dead at Palomar Hospital. The emergency services' swift response could not, sadly, turn to save a life abruptly severed.
The incident seemingly spiraled out of a street fight involving a group of males, according to details from the police. The violent clash unfolded in the 2700 block of Wanek Road before the victim attempted to escape but eventually collapsed on the 2800 block. As of now, all individuals involved had managed to quickly flee the scene prior to the arrival of the authorities, leaving officials scrambling to piece together the incident. No suspects have been detained as the investigations to pursue those responsible forge ahead justly.
