Teenager Wounded in Daylight Shooting in Whitehaven, Memphis

A 17-year-old boy sustained injuries in a Whitehaven neighborhood shooting incident on a recent Tuesday morning, as reported by Memphis authorities. According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), law enforcement officers received a call and were dispatched to the scene near East Shelby Drive and Interstate 55 at approximately 9:30 a.m., where they discovered the teenager with gunshot wounds.

The incident occurred on the 4000 block of Mill Stream Drive, as FOX13 Memphis detailed the teen was later transported to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, his condition was deemed non-critical by first responders and further confirmed by police authorities.

Adding to the event's narrative, WREG shared a video provided by the MPD that allegedly shows the suspected individual dressed in a gray hoodie and shorts entering the Mill Creek Apartments complex and later chasing the young man up a stairwell where the shooting took place, after which the suspect is said to have escaped from the location, with the police still seeking insights that might lead to an arrest in the community where the crime ripple has undoubtedly left its marks.
