
A fatal shooting rocked the Mission District late Wednesday night, resulting in the death of an adult male on the 500 block of Dolores Street. San Francisco Police Department reports state that officers responded to the shooting at approximately 10:09 p.m. on June 5, after receiving a report of the incident.
Upon arrival, the officers found the victim on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Immediate efforts were made to save the man’s life, with officers administering CPR at the scene, subsequently joined by paramedics who continued emergency care, but ultimately, the victim was pronounced dead on location.
The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The San Francisco Police Department's Homicide Unit has taken the lead on the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No suspects have been identified or apprehended as of this writing. The SFPD urges anyone who might have information related to the homicide to come forward.
