A Georgia woman is under custody following allegations of kidnapping three children in Lanier County, as reported by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). Monika Yvette Bradley, 41, of Valdosta, was charged with three counts of kidnapping after an investigation conducted jointly by the GBI and local law enforcement agencies.

The GBI was requested to join the investigation by the Lanier County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, June 22, following a call about a stolen car linked to the disappearance of three children since the previous night, including a 6-month-old named A'Marile Johnson. The vehicle and two of the children were discovered later at an address in Valdosta. Initially responding to the stolen car report, the two children were luckily found without harm, Bradley was still believed at that time to be with A'Marile.

An AMBER Alert was soon issued for the missing infant, escalating the urgency of the search. Bradley was later found at a Valdosta motel at approximately midnight, and thankfully, A'Marile was safely recovered at this location.

The investigation received contributions from various law enforcement branches including the Lanier County Sheriff’s Office, the Lakeland Police Department, and the Atlanta Police Department, among others. Found at a motel with the baby, Bradley's vehicle was located by authorities and brought a swift resolution to the Levi's Call. The GBI expressed gratitude for the support provided by each department in their press release.
