According to Action News 5, the blaze occurred on Shelby Oaks Drive, with the Memphis Fire Department dispatching several fire trucks and ambulances to the scene where the smoke was heavy enough to cause potential traffic delays in nearby streets.
The incident, which drew a significant emergency response, saw at least one person, a woman, sustain burn injuries and subsequently transported to Regional One hospital in a condition that was described as non-critical; Local Memphis confirmed these details and added that the fire broke out at the Tennessee Moving & Storage building, bringing to light the personal costs such disasters inflict, even when life-threatening injuries are not incurred.
While the cause of this destructive event remains under close investigation, the affected storage facility, situated within the 5700 block of Shelby Oaks Drive, drew the concentrated labors of fire crews who managed the emergency before the clock struck 8 a.m., this according to information provided by FOX13 Memphis.
