
According to a report published by the Chicago Police Department, a 14-year-old male juvenile is facing serious charges following an alleged armed robbery and aggravated battery incident on Chicago's South Side. The juvenile was apprehended on July 30, 2024, and is accused of having, at gunpoint, robbed and battered two women—the incidents occurring less than an hour before his arrest.
In the 5500 block of S. Whipple, law enforcement officials were able to place the juvenile firmly into custody at approximately 11:45 a.m. He was shortly thereafter identified as the suspect accused of targeting a 24-year-old female and a 54-year-old female in the 3000 block of W. 55th St. in the 9th District.
The charges levied against him include two counts of felony robbery armed with a firearm and two counts of aggravated battery with the use of a deadly weapon.
