
An 18-year-old male has been charged with a felony count of armed robbery, stemming from an incident that occurred in August 2023. The suspect, whose name has not been released due to his juvenile status at the time of the offense, was apprehended on July 24, 2024, in the 3100 block of W. Flournoy. According to a Chicago Police Department report, the individual has been linked to a case where a 27-year-old female was robbed at gunpoint on the 400 block of W. Roscoe.
The detainee faced their initial juvenile detention hearing at 1100 S. Hamilton on the afternoon of July 25, 2024, although details of the proceedings are not immediately available.
Law enforcement officials have not shared any further specifics about the case, or the condition of the victim post-robbery, only stating that the offender "was placed into custody and charged accordingly."
