The Alcoa Police Department is actively investigating a hit-and-run incident involving a cyclist, which occurred on Wednesday, and is requesting assistance from the community. The collision took place at approximately 9:30 p.m. on East Hunt Road near Alcoa Trail, as reported by WVLT. The cyclist, who was struck from behind by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene, has prompted a search for any leads.
In a statement obtained by WATE, the Alcoa Police reiterated their call for public assistance, urging that "Anyone who may have information is asked to call Officer Gornto at 865-518-1665."
