
Amazon is expanding its footprint in Goodyear, Arizona, with plans to open a new facility near Loop 303, contributing an additional 500 jobs to the area. The announcement was met with enthusiasm from city officials and the company alike, as they anticipate further economic growth spurred by Amazon's presence.
The upcoming facility, which is situated at the southwest corner of Cotton Lane and Camelback Road, stands to harness the local talent pool and Goodyear's business-friendly atmosphere. According to a statement obtained by the city's news channel, Amazon Manager of Economic Development Policy Tim Hou expressed excitement about the expansion. “We’re excited to continue to grow in Goodyear," he said, "Goodyear has a great workforce, and we're thrilled to incorporate additional talent into the remarkable team currently contributing to our higher standard of operational excellence and consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences every day.”
