The City of Avondale Public Works Department is pairing up with Combs Construction to kick off a series of concrete ramp upgrades along Avondale Boulevard. These improvements are a piece of the larger puzzle, a resurfacing project stretching from south of I-10 to Broadway Road, planned for this summer. Work is slated to begin August 9 and should wrap up by August 17, though the whole project will unfold until November 2, as noted in an announcement made by the City of Avondale.
To minimize disruptions, an open lane will always be available through the work zone. Upcoming lane closures and traffic pattern tweaks are to be expected. Aiming to avoid the heaviest traffic, crews plan to work from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Friday, and potentially on Saturday.
