
Hoops, community engagement, and ice cream came together under the summer sun at District Attorney Kevin Hayden's annual Basketball for Peace event. Officers from the Boston Police Department's District C-6 and the Bureau of Community Engagement joined forces to provide a space for youth to showcase their basketball skills, according to the Boston Police Department News.
The BPD Ice Cream Truck, in collaboration with HP Hood, cooled down the participants with icy treats. As Boston Police Department News reported, These athletes showed off their skills, and battled on the court.
