Boynton Beach Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a fatal overdose case from February this year. According to WPTV, 24-year-old Isaiah Delgado was apprehended yesterday afternoon, after an extensive investigation by the department's Violent Crimes Task Force into the death of a man, who was found to have died from fentanyl and cocaine intoxication.
Deputy Chief Matthew Zeller emphasized the department's stance on the issue, stating, "We will continue to pursue prosecution for those who are distributing narcotics in our community." This statement, sourced from WPTV, reflects the intent to combat drug-related crime in Boynton Beach, and uphold the safety and well-being of residents.
The charges Delgado faces are severe, including first-degree murder by drug distribution, trafficking in cocaine, sale of cocaine, and sale of oxycodone. The case pivots on the notion that the drugs Delgado allegedly provided led directly to the victim's overdose and subsequent death. Currently, Delgado is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail, as reported by CBS12.
