According to the BPD's report, the gathering saw attendance from residents, Commissioner Cox, and several high-ranking officers.
These weekly events, supported by the Boston Police Foundation's Community Opportunities Program (COP) fund, are part of a strategic effort to nurture trust and transparent discourse between the police force and citizens. "These events are crucial for fostering open communication and addressing community concerns," as stated by the BPD. Delicias Colombianas received special acknowledgment for hosting the friendly meet-up as an integral space for community dialogue.
Next Wednesday offers yet another chance for community members to mingle with their local law enforcement, with "Coffee with a Cop" slated for 10 a.m. at the Warren Tavern in Charlestown. The BPD encourages those looking to engage with officers and discuss matters pertinent to the neighborhood or simply to enjoy a break in good company to join the event.
