In an update provided by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, 29-year-old Lamarcus Jackson was named as the deceased individual whose case is currently under active investigation. Authorities have confirmed that Jackson's family has been informed of his untimely death, as the search for answers continues.
With details still emerging, the CMPD's Public Affairs Office has pledged to keep the public informed as investigators piece together the circumstances surrounding Jackson's killing.
