Chino Hills deputies have arrested a suspect in connection with a commercial burglary and recovered the stolen property, a laptop, after an investigation into a theft that occurred on July 9. According to the SBSD - Chino Hills Police Department, 30-year-old Mathew Gilmore, a Chino resident, was identified and captured as the alleged perpetrator of the theft at ASN Depot, Inc., located at 4200 Chino Hills Parkway.
After the incident on Tuesday, where Gilmore is accused of stealing a laptop before fleeing the scene, deputies initiated their search, and, later that evening, they spotted Gilmore on foot. He was apprehended around 11:50 p.m. near Bird Farm Road, and Monterey Avenue. The Chino Hills Police Department states that Gilmore now faces charges of commercial burglary and grand theft.
Further efforts by Chino Hills investigators on July 10 led to the whereabouts of the stolen laptop, as detailed by the Chino Hills Police Department. A search warrant executed on a vehicle enabled authorities to recover the missing property.
