The Chicago Police Department has issued an alert for a missing teenager, Ja’Niya Hollis, 16, who was last observed in the vicinity of 79th and Stony Island Avenue. In a bid to aid her safe return, authorities request that any individual with information regarding her whereabouts immediately contact 911 or the Area 2 Special Victim’s Unit at 312-747-8274.
Described as an African-American female at 5’05” and weighing 130 pounds, Ja’Niya has brown eyes, black hair, and a medium complexion; she turned 16 this year with her birth date noted as February 7th, 2008, according to the police report and she was last spotted on July 26th, 2024 wearing a distinctive ensemble including a white T-shirt, red Nike sweater, green shorts with white stripes and black Croc shoes which might hopefully make it easier for the public to identify her.
The community is urged to assist by keeping an eye out for Ja’Niya and reporting any relevant information that could lead to her being found.
