Heads up, Atlanta drivers: a segment of Andrews Drive NW is shutting down for a few days to make way for some heavy-duty construction. Specifically, the stretch from Peachtree Road NW to Cherokee Road NW is getting the full blockade treatment from the Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT), effective July 30 at 12:00 p.m. through August 2 at 5:00 p.m., according to a recent advisory on ATLDOT's website.
If you're the sort that stakes a claim in the northbound lane of Peachtree Road NW, you're gonna want to keep straight, bang a left on Pharr Rd NW, and then another left onto Slaton Dr NW to reconnect with Andrews Dr NW. Southbound Peachtree Road warriors, your detour involves a right onto West Wesley Rd NW, a right onto Vernon Rd NW, and another right on Cherokee Rd NW to swing back to Andrews Dr NW. This, according to the same ATLDOT advisory.
