A young man's life tragically ended earlier this week after a shooting in an apartment on Lake Avenue, as Dallas Police continue their hunt for the perpetrator.
Responding to a call on Tuesday, Dallas Police found 24-year-old Ashton Barnes with gunshot wounds at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of Lake Avenue. According to the Dallas Police Department, officers discovered Barnes shot within an apartment complex, where, he succumbed to his injuries.
Despite efforts, Barnes was declared dead at the scene. Details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting remain scarce, and authorities have not provided a suspect description at this time.
