According to NBC Miami, responding officers discovered 38-year-old Andre Lenard White shot during what was reported as a fight between two men.
The confrontation has to prematurely end in violence, with White succumbing to his injuries at the scene. Both the shooter and the weapon involved are now in police custody, an update which was confirmed by law enforcement officials. At this stage, the shooter's identity has not been disclosed.
