Eden Prairie is set to burst with patriotic pride and community spirit this week with a slew of Fourth of July festivities. According to the City of Eden Prairie, MN, celebrations will kick off on Tuesday, July 2, at Staring Lake Amphitheatre, where locals can enjoy a free outdoor concert by the Eden Prairie Community Band and Prairie Ramblers from 6:30–8:30 p.m. The evening will also serve as a salute to local veterans and active military members.
The festivities continue into Wednesday with "Sparklefest," a family-friendly gathering at Round Lake Park from 6–10:15 p.m. In what appears to be a sensory-friendly alternative to traditional pyrotechnics, a drone light show is scheduled to illuminate the night sky at 10 p.m., as per the City of Eden Prairie, MN. Visitors can also expect to dance to DJ-spun tunes, create art, bounce in inflatables, and munch on food truck offerings.
The main event, however, unfolds on the Fourth itself. Round Lake Park is poised to once more become a hub of activity from 3–10:30 p.m., as the site will be host to an array of food trucks, live music, and the grand finale: a fireworks display set to cap the evening. T-Fiber takes the title as presenting sponsor for this star-spangled day.
After the Fourth, the festivities continue to aim to engage the city's diverse audience. j. bell & the Lazy Susan Band are on deck at Staring Lake Amphitheatre on Sunday, July 7, bringing what's promised to be "straight up rock 'n' roll" influenced by a mix of music legends, as detailed by the City of Eden Prairie, MN. For the younger crowd, Will Hale and the Tadpole Band are set to deliver an interactive and fun concert on Tuesday, July 9, perfect for the whole family to sing and dance along from 10:30–11:15 a.m.
