Residents of Clark Street in Newark faced an emergency situation yesterday as the Alameda County Fire Department responded to an apartment fire.
According to the Alameda County Fire Department, firefighters were called to the scene and rapidly contained the fire to the exterior patio of the involved unit. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any injuries to either the residents involved or the firefighters who responded.
However, the fire did force eight residents from their homes, necessitating assistance from the Red Cross to find temporary housing and access support services. The Red Cross is actively engaged in helping these displaced individuals during this challenging time, ensuring they have the necessary resources and accommodations while they recover from the disruption caused by the fire.
