A house fire that took place Sunday evening in Knoxville has left a residence with severe damage, but thankfully, no injuries were reported. The Knoxville Fire Department responded to a distress call at around 6:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Silver Cloud Lane. WVLT reported that a woman alerted the authorities after finding her home filled with smoke and noting that her husband had re-entered the property.
Upon the arrival of emergency services, each member of the household had vacated the premises, and first responders were met in the front of the property. Crews discovered the blaze situated at the back of the house, which they managed to extinguish by 6:30 p.m., according to information provided by the KFD.
The fire's aftermath has left the home with significant fire, water, and smoke damage. The occupants had been away and only returned to their residence to discover the alarming situation shortly after a trip lasting an hour and a half.
