Chaos erupted on Chattahoochee Ave NW in Atlanta when gunfire led to both a shooting victim and a collateral traffic accident. The Atlanta Police Department reports that they responded to a call at around 2:14 am to find a male with a gunshot wound who had subsequently crashed his vehicle. The male was immediately transported to Grady EMS for treatment of his injuries specifically a gunshot wound to the leg.
The violence didn't cease there. The aftermath of the first incident saw another driver injured as a result of the initial victim's loss of vehicle control, leading to the driver being rushed to the hospital in serious condition. While police were working to unravel the circumstances surrounding the chaotic scene, they were alerted to another shooting, this one a short distance away from the first incident. Arriving officers found a female with a graze wound to her arm, who refused to seek medical treatment despite her injury.
Initial investigations suggest that the male victim's injury was the direct result of gunfire from a passing vehicle.
