The Illinois Power Agency (IPA) is steering the conversations on renewable energy forward with a workshop aimed at addressing the hurdles faced by green energy project developers, particularly those working with utility-scale wind and solar ventures. The workshop, scheduled for July 29, from noon to 2 p.m. CT, as reported by Illinois Power Agency.
The agency's recent request for stakeholder feedback, launched back on June 7, has culminated in this initial workshop – a move that aligns with the IPA’s 2024 Long-Term Plan. But, the stakes are high and the clock is ticking, with the intent that recommendations from these discussions could lead to a potential compliance filing with the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) by February 2025. Registration for the workshop is essential, and interested parties can sign up through the provided link, according to Illinois Power Agency.
In anticipation of the discussions, the IPA has reached out to stakeholders encouraging them to submit questions they'd like addressed. Interested parties should send their queries to Chandrika Mital, the IPA’s Director of Renewable Energy Finance, at [email protected].
