
Cosm, an immersive technology, media, and entertainment company, is setting up its latest venue in the heart of the city's Centennial Yards. According to reports from FOX 5 Atlanta and PR Newswire. 70,000-square-foot sprawl across three levels, complete with a 87-foot diameter LED dome 12K resolution events.
This is Cosm's third location, with the other two in Los Angeles and Texas. Atlanta's version has unique flairs that reflect the community vibe. It aims to be a gravity-centre of sorts, "connecting people of all ages with an incredible combination of sporting events, music, bars, restaurants and retail," as Brian McGowan, the President of Centennial Yards, told PR Newswire.
The venue, named Cosm, is partnering up with big-name broadcasters like ESPN and NBC Sports. It's a "Shared Reality" experience, blending advanced visuals and that sweet synergy of the crowd, now topped off with an elevated grub and drink selection, as announced by Centennial Yards.
The development is charging ahead with a 19-story boutique hotel and a 19-story residential tower that's already under construction. The entire Centennial Yards project seeks to revitalize 50 acres of downtown formerly known as "The Gulch,"—as PR Newswire details the endeavor. It's the one that already hosted the Olympics and the Super Bowl.
While the opening date of the Cosm venue at Centennial Yards is still under wraps, the anticipation is tangible. With a history of hosting sporting events, Atlanta's next big thing may just be this meld of sports, tech, and shared moments.
