A reported shooting involving law enforcement occurred near Michigan Street and Westmoreland Drive in Orlando, just off Interstate 4, on Tuesday morning, and a WESH 2 reporter who was on the scene described it as chaotic. According to WESH 2, the scene unfolded with deputies brandishing their weapons near a gas station which shortly after that led to someone being shot.
A vehicle was seen having crashed into a gas pump and carwash in video footage from Chopper, meanwhile, WESH 2 has made attempts to reach out to the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Orlando Police Department. In the absence of official confirmation, the circumstances that prompted the gunfire are not yet clear, additional information is anticipated as the investigation proceeds.
In a seemingly related incident, according to a WFTV report, a significant mobilization of law enforcement took place around the same location, where a minimum of 13 Orange County deputy cruisers, along with several Orange County Fire Rescue crews, responded to a reported "Hazmat Response."
