An MBTA Silver Line bus became an unfortunate target of vandalism, as it navigated the streets of Boston. Around 10:20 a.m. yesterday, as the bus was turning at Temple Place, an unidentified male reportedly hurled a hard object at the vehicle, resulting in a shattered window.
While the incident could have easily escalated into injuries, it was reported that none of the passengers on board were harmed. The disruption, however, did not go unnoticed. The motive behind the vandalism is currently unknown and remains under investigation.
The authorities were quick to respond, and detectives from the Transit Police Department are currently following up on the incident. According to a post from the MBTA Transit Police, "Temple Place-Boston and unknown male threw a hard object at a #MBTA Silver Line bus as it was turning-shattering the window. No injuries reported. TPD Detectives to follow up."
