Local police have received reports of a package thief utilising a basketball, not for athleticism, but as a mask of anonymity as he committed the crime. Action News 5 detailed the incident which occurred just before 11:00 a.m. on July 12 on Brindley Drive, wherein a suspect is said to have walked by a residence, doubled back and used the basketball to obscure his face before swiftly taking a package which contained a new cell phone and fleeing the location.
