Memphis Police are currently investigating a brazen burglary that took place early Tuesday morning, involving multiple suspects that used a stolen U-Haul truck to smash their way into Nothing But Hair beauty supply store on Winchester Road, as reported by FOX13 Memphis. The incident occurred just after 2:30 a.m., and according to a statement obtained by Local Memphis, witnesses saw several men in hoodies who reportedly arrived in three vehicles and began the break-in. 

Police arrived at the scene to discover both a hole in the front of the business and a victim hiding in a back room who told authorities he heard suspects breaking in and taking merchandise, followed by one of the suspects kicking in the storage door and firing shots at him, forcing him to run out the back door, investigators later found 34 spent shell casings and confirmed that three other businesses had been struck by gunfire. The U-Haul was subsequently discovered crashed in a neighborhood approximately 7 miles from the store, with the driver having fled the scene, authorities said they are looking for eight suspects in connection with the robbery and shooting, and they have identified three vehicles: the U-Haul, a black Cadillac CTL, and a silver Infiniti with a sunroof, according to WREG News Channel 3.

The owner of Nothing But Hair confirmed some things were indeed stolen from the store, but could not specify the amount taken until after completing an inventory. The victim, fortunately unharmed, accessed surveillance video which showcased the eight suspects and the vehicles involved in the crime.
