In a recent development, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Dreama Powell, an 11-month-old girl previously reported missing, has been found safe in Wilson County. As reported by WKRN, the child was located at a residence in Lebanon, Tennessee. In connection with the disappearance, Taylor Powell, the infant's mother, is now in custody.
The search for Dreama was initiated earlier this month after she was last seen with her mother. An Endangered Child Alert was issued, and the public was urged to report any sightings to authorities. According to WIVK, Taylor Powell was facing charges of Custodial Interference at the time of her arrest.
Authorities, with the assistance from Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, were able to conclude the search positively as per the TBI's announcement on Thursday morning. The TBI appreciated the public's help in disseminating the alert, which contributed to the successful recovery of the child. "We have good news to pass along this morning! With assistance from the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, Dreama Powell has been located at a residence in Lebanon. Taylor Powell is in custody. Thanks to everyone who shared and helped us get the word out!" stated the TBI in a release quoted by WIVK.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the discovery and the arrest have not been extensively disclosed. The public's attention to the case, following the release of the Endangered Child Alert, was crucial in assisting law enforcement to locate Dreama. Information provided by individuals who had seen Dreama or Taylor, or had any related information, were encouraged to contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND, as WBIR mentioned in their coverage.
