A Nashville pedestrian was struck and killed Saturday night on Gallatin Pike near Walton Lane. As reported by officials, the man, 48, was hit while attempting to cross the road at 9:50 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
As detailed by the same source, the driver involved in the accident stated that they were proceeding through the intersection on a green light. Meanwhile, the man, whose identity has yet to be publicly shared pending next of kin notification, was crossing outside of a designated crosswalk.
No indications of drug or alcohol use were evident at the scene.
