Homicide detectives are piecing together the events that led to a young man's death late Saturday night on the 1600 block of Antioch Pike, as reported by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. The unidentified victim believed to be in his twenties, was fatally shot with what appeared to be his weapon after a dispute erupted with three others, authorities said.
The conflict was captured on surveillance footage from the nearby area, which indicated that the victim had been skateboarding moments before the altercation at about 11 p.m. The scuffle led to the victim dropping a pistol, which was then picked up by one of the other individuals involved in the fight. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department noted that "The victim ran before collapsing in front of a nearby business’ lawn" and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are now reaching out to the public for assistance. "Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463," as stated by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
