Peachtree City residents faced water woes after a water main break disrupted service on yesterday morning. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the incident occurred along Peachtree Parkway at McIntosh Trail, impacting several homes and businesses. The break led to mobilization of crews from Fayette County Water and Peachtree City Public Works, responding to the scene to manage the repairs and ensuing traffic issues.
An additional complication emerged with a separate leak reported at Crosstown Road and Loghouse Drive, adding to the turned serving residents, already under pressure from the main break. As crews worked to address the main issue, Peachtree City public works were dispatched to cleanse the affected roads from mud and debris. This development follows a string of similar incidents across the metro Atlanta area, including water main breaks in Buckhead on Thursday and in Midtown and Buckhead in late May, as Atlanta News First reported.
The city updated the public via social media, noting that while the water main break was fixed, substantial work was still required around the site. Overhead footage from SkyFOX 5 showed crews diligently working past 1 p.m. to restore normalcy to the water system.
