
Poway is buzzing with activity as the city enhances its park amenities, bringing fresh energy to community spaces. A key highlight is the new adventure-themed playground at Lake Poway, part of a larger initiative involving significant investments in park improvements.
In a visually appealing update, the basketball court at Starridge Park now boasts a colorful resurface. Additionally, Community, Hilleary, and Adobe Ridge parks have received new poles, extension arms, backboards, and rims, according to a recent announcement from Poway.
Valle Verde Park's restroom has undergone a major upgrade, featuring new urethane floors and walls, stainless-steel fixtures, and waterproof LED lighting. Starridge Park's restroom is set for a similar renovation this fall.
New water stations have been installed at Lake Poway and four other parks, including Garden Road Park, providing convenient hydration options for both people and pets.
Pathways at Community and Starridge parks have been extended to create complete loops, fulfilling the community's requests and aligning with the city's 2021 Community Park needs assessment. These improvements cater to the neighborhood's desire for enhanced park experiences.
