
A fire blazed through a garage in the 2900 block of Daytona Avenue Saturday morning, authorities confirmed. The fire, which erupted in a detached garage was first noticed by neighbors at about 11:30 A.M. Those nearby jumped into action, using water hoses in an attempt to quell the flames before firefighting teams arrived.
According to a report from the Lake Havasu City Fire Department, the first fire crew to reach the scene encountered smoke and visible flames pouring out from the garage door. A volley of firefighters, including Four Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief, battled the fire. They declared it under control within 15 minutes of their arrival, averting a greater crisis and ensuring that the occupants of the nearby house were safely evacuated.
No injuries were reported among the residents or responding fire personnel. However, firefighting teams spent an additional hour on the premises, conducting thorough salvage operations to mitigate damage and secure the area.
