Commuters in San Diego should prepare for some disruptions as Caltrans has announced scheduled maintenance and closures affecting both the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and a portion of Interstate 5. An overnight closure will impact the northbound I-5 connector ramp to the southbound State Route 75/San Diego-Coronado Bridge.
The closure, set to begin tonight from 10 p.m. and last until 5 a.m. the following morning, is for necessary work on the pillars at the Chicano Park Museum. During this time, drivers will be redirected to the J Street/19th Street exit, then must turn left at J Street, turn left onto 17th Street to access southbound I-5 and continue to southbound SR-75/San Diego-Coronado Bridge.
