San José police have reported the arrest of three individuals in connection with an armed robbery that occurred last April, confirming the incident involved over $4,000 in merchandise stolen during an online marketplace meet-up-turned-heist on Gateview Drive. Suspects include 22-year-old Laquin Golden and 19-year-old Dwight Porsche from San José, alongside a 17-year-old minor whose details remain undisclosed due to legal restrictions related to age.
The incident, which took a violent turn when the victim, who is yet to be named, was threatened by two of the perpetrators brandishing firearms, was originally reported to the police on April 29, leading to a thorough investigation by the San José Police Department's Robbery Unit which resulted; in the identification of Golden, Porsche, and the juvenile as the suspects.
Law enforcement officers brought to action by the San José Police Department Special Operations Covert Response Unit executed arrest and search warrants last Wednesday. According to the San José Police Department, Golden was apprehended in San José, whereas Porsche and the juvenile were taken into custody in Milpitas. Following their arrests, Golden and Porsche were booked for robbery at the Santa Clara County Main Jail, meanwhile the juvenile was booked at Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall facing the same charges.
