San Luis residents are preparing their swim gear in anticipation of the grand reopening of the San Luis Municipal Pool. After being closed for nearly two years for renovations, the pool will welcome the public once again on Wednesday, at 4:00 P.M. The City of San Luis reported that the past seasons without this community staple were felt throughout the area, especially during sweltering summer days.

Renovations included significant safety, and functionality enhancements to the pool—such as the replacement of old pool plaster, concrete, and flooring decks, and the addition of two new water features. The City of San Luis has also ensured that the pool is accessible to everyone by installing an updated ADA-compliant Handicap pool lift and replacing the pool shades.

Angelica Roldan, Director of Parks and Recreation, emphasized the pool's importance to San Luis residents. "We recognize the significance of the community pool to our residents and community members, offering not only a relief from the summer heat but also serving as a hub for physical activity, education, and the creation of lasting memories with loved ones," Roldan stated

The newly renovated pool will operate Tuesday through Friday from 6:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon, and from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with additional weekend hours from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Those interested in the pool's upcoming schedule of events, or various programs, can find more information by visiting the San Luis city website or by contacting the Recreation Division directly.

As the community gears up for the reopening, residents are encouraged to review pool regulations and program options in advance. This will ensure that everyone can fully enjoy the refreshed amenities from day one. For further information on pool rules, and upcoming events, or to schedule interviews regarding the Municipal Pool, interested parties can reach out to the Public Relations Office via phone or email.
