A swim coach has been taken into custody by the San Jose Police Department on charges of "annoying or molesting a minor," a case that started to unfurl at the start of this year. The San Jose Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)/Child Exploitation Detail Task Force spearheaded the investigation in January after they received alarming reports about the adult male suspect's conduct with a female minor.
Details on the case, released by the SJPD, reveal that suspect Anthony Daly, who is 28 and hails from San Mateo, used to coach the victim in Milpitas. Over a period spanning from July to September 2023, Daly reportedly sent sexually explicit messages to the minor on various occasions. The nature of these interactions prompted the legal actions that culminated last Thursday when Daly was arrested, according to the San Jose Police Department.
In the announcement, the San Jose Police Department informed that Daly has since been booked into Santa Clara County Jail under the charges of his actions involving a minor. The authorities continue their appeal for public assistance in identifying potential further incidents or victims related to this case or similar ones.
